L'Open Air Bus

Yesterday (Saturday), my new friends, Phylise (a professor of dance at COC), her daughter, Oleya, and I decided to get a great overview of Paris by way of the tourist double-decker bus. We started around 11:45am, and took all of the routes, criss-crossing the city and seeing its most-visited sights from the open top-deck of the hop-on-hop-off buses. With a lunch break at an Italian restaurant mid-day, we ended the bus tour at (I think) around 6pm.

This is a famous, very old, English bookstore in Paris.. Shakespeare and Company is near Notre Dame cathedral.

I probably don't have to tell anyone what this is! ;0)

Palais Garnier: l'Opéra -- the Opéra de Paris (now it hosts mainly ballet). Construction started in 1861, finished 1875.

The Louvre -- once a palace, now the most amazing museum. I don't remember exactly, but I think they say it would take months to see everything in it!

  1. Gorgeous! They look like postcards! I love the double decker bus idea - it's a fun way to see the city and it looks like it was a beautiful day as well. Croissants yet? Don't forget the food photography! :) Go ahead, make me hungry! Have fun & take care, xo B
